The innovative campaigns earned Gold for Nature Valley in the Consumer Products category and Silver for Datsun redi-GO in the Content Marketing category
mCanvas, the experiential storytelling ad platform for small screens, today announced that it has won 2 titles at Adgully’s DIGIXX Awards 2019 that recognize innovative and effective mobile initiatives. The company was awarded Gold for Nature Valley in the Consumer Products category and Silver for Datsun redi-GO in the Content Marketing category.
For Nature Valley, the idea was to build a strong connection between Nature Valley’s crunchy energy bars and how it was able to deliver instant energy during ‘crunch time’, a time between regular meals where people generally feel a need to eat a snack, usually unhealthy. The goal was to establish Nature Valley’s offerings as the smarter and tastier alternative. Building on the core ‘instant recharge’ thought, mCanvas and m/SIX co-created the perfect idea that would make the user physically connect their phone charger to discover how they could get an instant energy boost during crunch time. As soon as a charge through the connected charger was detected, Nature Valley’s delicious range of crunchy energy bars was revealed.
The campaign reached over 3.5 million users and saw a 2% click through rate which is 10 times the interest compared to the 0.2% industry average for mobile banners. Users spent close to 8 seconds, on average, while engaging with the creative.
mCanvas used its content marketing solution 'Smarticle' for Datsun’s #MorePower2You campaign. Created in collaboration with OMD India, this interactive content marketing campaign was a first in India’s automobile space and showcased inspirational stories of real Datsun redi-GO owners that are breaking barriers, empowering lives, and exploring the unknown. To engage with the article and view the stories, users had to physically shake their phones. The Smarticle contained a combination of images and videos of the inspirational stories that were presented throughout the content, while a CTA invited the users to book a test drive of their choice of vehicle. This interactive content not only promoted the company’s new initiative ‘More Power 2 You’, but also generated leads.
The campaign recorded an engagement of 2.1 million users and over 7,361 video views within the article. With the engaging concept, the Smarticle also fetched commendable traffic of 49,830 users from social media.
