Experiential ad and interactive content campaigns floor Jury at ‘Drivers of Digital Awards’ 2018
mCanvas, the experiential storytelling ad platform for small screens, announced today that it has won two prestigious awards for its innovative mobile marketing campaigns for Big Bazaar and Datsun at ‘Drivers of Digital Awards’ 2018. While the Women’s Day campaign for Big Bazaar won ‘Best Mobile Marketing Campaign – Overall’ Award, the #MorePowerToYou campaign for Datsun won the ‘Best Content in a Mobile Marketing Campaign’ Award.
Big Bazaar’s campaign, created in collaboration with MediaCom, made women all over India feel special by encouraging them to share inspirational messages on International Women's Day. Consumers could either create custom messages or use messages from available templates and share those with others by swinging their phones. Tilting their phones allowed consumers to read empowering messages shared with them by other women. The creative utilized the phone’s gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to achieve these interactions.
The campaign was executed by mCanvas on premium women-centric partner websites where 33,000 women engaged with the creative and wrote 2,300 messages in multiple languages in just one day.

mCanvas used its content marketing solution 'Smarticle' for Datsun’s #MorePower2You campaign. Created in collaboration with OMD India, this interactive content marketing campaign was a first in India’s automobile space and showcased inspirational stories of real Datsun redi-GO owners that are breaking barriers, empowering lives, and exploring the unknown.
To engage with the article and view the stories, users had to physically shake their phones. The Smarticle contained a combination of images and videos of the inspirational stories that were presented throughout the content, while a CTA invited the users to book a test drive of their choice of vehicle. This interactive content not only promoted the company’s new initiative ‘More Power 2 You’, but also generated leads
